Grand Royal Cines

1/5 – WARNING: Extremely Poor Management & Wasted Money Visited Grand Royal Cines, GS Road, Khanapara with my family to watch Avatar in 3D (English). What was supposed to be an exciting experience turned into total chaos. After the interval, the screen remained blank for nearly 45–50 minutes with no announcement or explanation. No manager came to address the audience. Staff outside looked clueless, and the floor manager completely avoided viewers. When the movie finally resumed, it started playing in Hindi instead of English and ran for a few minutes before being stopped again after the entire hall protested. It took almost 50 minutes post-interval to restart the movie properly. I paid around ₹2100 (₹500+ per ticket), absolutely not acceptable. On top of this, the 3D projection was very poor: dark, blurred, and uncomfortable to watch. We are regular visitors, but after this mismanagement and disrespect for customers, we are seriously reconsidering future visits. Think twice before booking, especially for 3D movies. Videos uploaded show the reality.

Top quality recliner seats costing 350 Rs (@BookMyShow). Very spacious and comfortable setup. Ample parking space. Too good option in Guwahati to watch movie. One drawback I obeserved on 25 Sept 2025 : there is only one lift/elevator and no escalator available in the entire building. Cinema hall is on the 6th floor. All other floors are under construction.

Located at the City mall building, 6th floor near Lily hotel in Khanapara, Guwahati It has 2 screens with all recliner seats, the sound quality and picture quality was good, although there was a minor glitch which I am sure is not an recurring issue. The food here is affordable and not overpriced as what is served in PVR, INOX. The washroom is clean but congested and lacks the premium feel.

This new movie place is beyond awesome. They provide luxury recliner seats at just Rs.350/- fully automatic control with just a switch away. A lot of space and specially not congested🫶

The seats were premium, similar seats as Inox at Aurus but at lower price. The halls not too big but good enough to enjoy a great experience. The interiors are at par. Washrooms need regular cleaning and maintenance. The finishing work of the toilet area is yet to be done, felt like it was cheaped out and rushed to completion. The staff needs proper training. Parking for 2 wheelers are not enough with no shade but have space for 4 wheelers. The lift is too small, only for 6-7 passengers. There were only 2 lifts at each side of the building .It all comes down to how well they maintain the premises. Hope they don't cheap out on that part.

Nice movie theater with all recliners and 2 screens. Recently opened on 14th of February,this movie hall is situated in 6th floor in a building just opposite to veterinary campus,khanapa and near to Lily hotel. Spacious Food and beverages are reasonably priced. Tickets are ranging from Rs350 - Rs550. Nice environment.

Seating: No doubt the seating is best for the price 🥰 Audi: the audi is spacious and doesn't make you feel congested. Screen : Screen 1 is a little large compared to screen 2 and the sound quality is quite good... Food : affordable as compared to the multiplexes. Quality is decent. ps. The 3d glasses are awful... please if you are thinking of watching any 3d movies then please drop the idea...

One of the best cinema halls in Guwahati. First of all, starting from security to the staff, food court and all other staff, everyone was very polite. The delivery of our popcorn and beverages to our seats was a plus point. The inside and outside of the hall were very clean and well-kept. The recliners were very comfortable, the screen was a good size, and the sound was awesome. I had a great time there. I will definitely watch movies at Grand Royal Cines again.
