Visiting the museum was an incredible and wonderful experience! The artifacts, ancient manuscripts and ritual tools provide an in-depth insight into the black magic legacy of the region. This would be an enlightening trip for anyone interested in the mystical history and cultural traditions of India!

Pros ● unique collection ● interesting ( magical ) stories behind it ● a village apparently where people used to practice "black magic" at ancient times ● surrounded by greenery Cons ● very ill maintained ( the walking path from the gate to museum entry) ● lack of information ( one local person tried to explain when we asked but not very informative)

Need improvement in infrastructure, need better electricity connections, the day i visited it was cut of for like 1-2 hours or so it was very difficult for people visiting in summer.

Nice display but entrance is shabby.Since its panchayat property needs to be state property and tourism department managed to fare better. Photo of tantrics on display some genuine practioners of this ancient tantric science need to exhibited live on weekends to encourage footfall.

Waste of INR 400 (foreigners). Lots of photos with English descriptions and some artifacts but repetitive and no one to make sense of them. Don’t waste your time.

Having heard about this museum located near Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary so decided to visit it. The museum showcases the history, culture and the lifestyle of the inhabitants of Mayong. The above are exhibited through models, artifects, handicrafts, photos, books, etc. This museum offers a glimpse of Mayong and its inhabitants.
