Sawkuchi Post Office

These people haven't delivered my parcel yet. I have to go and pick it up in person every time. Even today they went to pick up my parcel and told me there were no employees present. But when I got there, I found out that the delivery person hadn't taken my parcel... Very bed service .... Absolutely terrible experience at this post office. I went to send a parcel and was told they couldn't accept it because the postman responsible was out for training, and the staff present didn’t even have the login credentials to do the job. When I asked if I could leave the parcel for them to send the next day, I was told they can’t store it because the warehouse has rats! Yes, rats. So not only is the staff completely incompetent and rude, but apparently there’s also a very real risk your package could be chewed up by rodents if left there. The past experiences with them weren’t good either as they have lost the aadhar card of my family members and denied taking any accountability. This is not just inconvenient, it’s shocking. If a government-run facility can’t even secure basic login access or maintain rodent-free storage, they shouldn't be operating. Save yourself the hassle, stress, and possible parcel damage, avoid this post office at all costs. It’s high time we, the public, come together and lodge a formal complaint against this post office and its irresponsible staff. I strongly urge others who have faced similar experiences to speak up. Enough is enough.

With extreme disappointment and anger I am writing this. The Sawkuchi post office , Lokhra -Guwahati is utterly an irresponsible and wasted post office. My parcel has been marked inappropriately as address cannot be spotted while I put the absolute correct address and also I got no calls . I demand strict action against these useless people who work in the office and ate the money of the general public through their corrupted salaries. I had faced this issue before with another important parcel in April,2025 . I would have accepted that there is a mistake from my side if I haven’t received so many parcels in this same address all the time. Even before I had to request the post man to deliver the parcel at my place as I was not in town. But they created so much drama. Now also , I have not received any call but it is marked as out for delivery then suddenly it is marked as address insufficient. The audacity to execute such irresponsible behaviour. Look into this matter and take strict action against these so called government employees. Stupid people.

I didn’t get my parcel and it has been delivered to other location

Worst post office ever. Such pathetic service. I was supposed to receive some parcel which was sent by Speed post. I have gotten the update that it has received Sawkuchi P.O but they have not contacted me or delivered my items since many days. They have not provided me any contact details for me to reach out to them.

Since the inception of services from this post office, it has been a pleasant experience doing business with them. It is super near to where I stay and has a very clean surrounding. The services are top notch, best part being the officials arrive right on time and start their business. Someone should make it a MODEL POST OFFICE! The lady over the counter always has a smile on her face, dealing with different end users, the whole day. Also, information sharing is at par, whether it is related to banking or related to Postal Services. The other staff are equally helpful in asking you to sit while they start their services. Which post office has such kind staff? Glad that the STAFF and the Office is well within the reach of the common people around Sawkuchi area!
