Visiting the Brahmaputra Ghat (বৰপুত্ৰ ঘাট) yesterday was easily one of the most soul-soothing parts of my trip. After dealing with some disappointing meals and poorly maintained sites elsewhere, this riverside escape was a breath of fresh air. The atmosphere here is incredibly serene, especially during the golden hour; watching the sunset over the vast, shimmering expanse of the river is a 5/5 experience on its own. It’s a great spot to just sit on the steps, feel the cool breeze, and watch the local life and ferries pass by. The area feels open and alive, providing that sense of tranquility that you really look for in Guwahati. Whether you're here for a quiet moment of reflection or to capture some stunning photography of the distant hills and the mighty river, it’s an essential stop that doesn’t disappoint.

Just experience the breeze over the Brahmaputra while traveling.I got a chance to visit the Umanand temple last month during weekend and it is a must recommended idea to atleast visit during evening as it looks more amazing while sun is getting set and with slow music you just get lost with the cool cool winds and at the same time keep looking at the serene waves .... Loved the experience.

We had the dream of viewing Bramhaputra. Fully satisfied. Ferry service to the other side and the temple is very convenient and reasonably priced. Beautiful views

The Brahmaputra Ghat, adjacent to Fancy Bazaar, Guwahati offers varied landscape existing in an around the mighty river. From the under construction bridge to the beautiful Umananda temple, the magnificent statue of Ahom general Lachit Barphukan and also various numerical archaeological sites on the other bank of the river are more than enough to drew anyone’s attention. Loitering along the river and taking a ferry ride can be very refreshing for the nature’s lovers.
