We had a great time with Adventure Trails. The best moment was, of course, the local home-cooked lunch they arranged for us after a long bamboo trek in Wahkhen. The food was brought in tiny tiffins, served on leaves, and will remain a core memory for years to come. A special mention to the excellent guides — Rapzy during the bamboo trek and Deni at Krem Chympe Falls. They made sure no one was left behind, were incredibly kind and helpful, and were simply a joy to be around. I would highly recommend booking all your Meghalaya trips with Adventure Trails. I’m sure I’ll be travelling with them again.

My husband and I wanted an offbeat trip to Meghalaya. We had spent months watching reels of its many beautiful locations, and that’s when we stumbled upon Adventure Trails NE. The trip was planned by Kaushik and his team according to our preferences. He was constantly in touch with us and regularly checked in on our energy levels to make necessary modifications to the itinerary during the trip. We had a driver throughout our trip who was very friendly and considerate. Each day, we had a new guide — each one better than the last. They helped us through all the treks and hikes, and were extremely respectful and professional. We felt well taken care of every step of the way. The guides were also wonderful conversationalists with great knowledge about their region. It was lovely interacting with them and hearing the way they spoke about Meghalaya — with such pride and warmth. They also took some exceptionally good photographs of us! The stays were tidy and cozy, adding to the overall experience. I would highly recommend Adventure Trails NE to anyone looking to explore Meghalaya. You’re in for an adventurous ride!

We had an 8 days 9 nights off-beat trip to Meghalaya with our three friends planned by Adventure Trails North East, and it was a great experience. Kaushik took care of every small detail and customized the plan exactly as per our needs, taking daily feedback to make sure everything went smoothly. He also arranged local guides at every spot, who were very knowledgeable, intelligent, and supportive. Our driver, Jagdish, was very professional and helpful throughout the trip. The stays and food were very good. I would definitely recommend them to everyone.

Our Meghalaya trip was organised by Koushik and overall it was a truly memorable experience with Adventure Trails. Special thanks to all our guides: Arnold, Lyndem, Rapsy, Pyniar, Wanphrang, Freddy, Deni, and John Lyngdoh. Each guide added great value by sharing local insights, ensuring safety, and making even long treks enjoyable. A very special mention to our personalised guide, John Lyngdoh, for being extremely professional and proactive, and for promptly accommodating all our extra and last-minute requests. He truly made the trip more special. Even though some locations were remote, all the stays were comfortable, clean, and well chosen. We faced a few unexpected situations (vehicle breakdown on Nongjrong day and PM Modi’s visit to Guwahati), but the team managed everything efficiently and ensured minimal disruption. Scope for Improvement: On the Krem Chympe day, we travelled in an open 4x4 camper through a dusty route, which was uncomfortable, especially for asthma patients. We understand covered vehicles like Gypsies are limited, but this could have been pre-booked and both options should be shared with us in advance during the itinerary planning stage so we could make an informed choice. Still giving a 5-star rating, as the overall experience was excellent and created memories for a lifetime.

I enjoyed this trip a lot. I have traveled many times in North India, but this was my first trip to the North East, and honestly, I felt something completely different here. This was not just a trip for me; it was a lifetime experience. I also learned many valuable lessons during this journey I first discovered the beauty of Meghalaya through the book Will You Still Love Me?, and from that moment, I knew I wanted to visit this magical place. That book inspired me so much that I decided to choose Meghalaya as my honeymoon destination I was mesmerized by the natural beauty, cleanliness, and kindness of the people. I especially loved the regional food—it was amazing. The guides were very kind, generous, and helpful, and I truly miss them as well. The arrangements throughout the trip were very well managed, which made our journey smooth and comfortable. Meghalaya will always have a special place in my heart.
