I went for the Mawryngkhang Bamboo Trek on 19th May. I loved the experience. If you are someone who has not been to many treks before, you might find this one moderately challenging. It is physically intensive because there are a lots of ups and downs that lead you to the final point on the top of a hill. But at the end of the day, if you appreciate the nature and like being close to it, it will be all worth your efforts. The few locals you will meet on your way are very helpful. Believe me when I say, nothing about Sudip Da, who led us for this trek, is commercial. He was our leader, ensuring that he was there for all of us at all time. He understood that there are some in the group who are slower than the rest. Not once did he want us to rush. The journey was comfortable. It is a long journey from Guwahati, took us about 5 hours to reach there and come back. The trek itself took us about 6 hours because we took breaks and while climbing down we also went in to enjoy bathing in the spring water that flows through the hills. Thank you Virgin Trails for such a smooth experience. I am looking forward to the next one. 100% recommended.
